CONGRATULATIONS STEPHANIE!
WBLI wishes to congratulate Stephanie O’Connor, CA, partner of WBLI,
on becoming an Honorary Trustee of QEII Foundation. Stephanie was on
the Board of the QEII Foundation for eight years, being a member of
the Finance Audit and Investment Committee. She also served as
Treasurer for the last two years and was on the executive committee.
Stephanie O’Connor received her CA designation from WBLI
Chartered Accountants in 1994. In 2001 she was admitted into
the partnership, as an audit and assurance partner. Stephanie assists
owner-managed businesses with requirements for financial and
tax reporting purposes, as well as advises on various accounting and
tax planning matters. Stephanie is also the partner in charge of the
firms’ quality control initiatives. She ensures that the firm is maintaining
the standards required for the assurance practice and ensures the staff
are updated on the latest standards.
CONGRATULATIONS WANDA!
The partners and staff of WBLI congratulate Wanda, CA, Prinicipal of WBLI on her election as a member of Council for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia for the 2010/2011 year. Council is the governing body of the Nova Scotia Institute of Chartered Accountants. Wanda has been active in the profession for many years, serving as a member of the Professional Standards Review Committee of the Institute and lecturing for assurance courses for the Institute's professional development program.
Wanda obtained her CA designation in 1997 and is a principal in our Bedford office. Wanda specializes in providing audit and assurance services to our clients, and is involved in our quality control initiatives. As a result of being involved in many of the audits performed by our firm, Wanda has up-to-date knowledge of the financial statements and CICA reporting requirements for profit-oriented and not-for-profit organizations. Wanda is also involved in several community initiatives, including a recent appointment to the IWK Family Business Advisory Committee and the election as President of the Enfield District Elementary School PTAG.
