The Truro & Colchester Chamber of Commerce will soon be benefiting from some expert knowledge, with the appointment of Joanne McRae of WBLI as Board Treasurer.
“The Truro & Colchester Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Joanne to the board,” said Chamber President Andrew Lake. “Acting as treasurer, Joanne’s financial background and business insight will help guide the board as the Chamber enters its 127th year advocating for the businesses of Truro and Colchester.”
Joanne continues WBLI’s longstanding tradition of involvement with local Chamber of Commerce chapters. Greg Mosher, Partner with WBLI, is a Past President of the Truro & Colchester Chamber.
“Businesses are really at the heart of economic development in any community,” she says. “And it’s always inspiring to see how Chamber members, particularly in Truro, really make a point of reaching out and supporting each other and the community at large. This is something that WBLI has always believed in, so our involvement is an excellent fit.”
Born and raised in Truro, with a father who owned a small local business for ten years, Joanne grew up with a front-row view of what life is like as an entrepreneur in the Truro and Colchester area.
“Truro and Colchester really do have so much to offer anybody who wants to start and operate a business. I’ve seen quite a few new businesses pop up in this region, and am really looking forward to being part of the Chamber’s important role in supporting business development and helping all businesses, old and new, grow and succeed.”
WBLI is the region’s largest independent firm of chartered professional accountants, in operation since 1976. The firm is local, independent and connected, offering a robust range of financial and business advice, from general accounting and assurance services to specialized advice on the most complex transactional and tax matters.
