Working closely with partners and managers the ideal candidate will have completed a post-secondary education with a concentration in accounting at the university or college level, with 2 year’s hands on experience. You will have a solid comprehension of basic principles of accounting with a thorough knowledge of double entry bookkeeping. This position is responsible for, but not limited to: Assisting with personal and corporate tax returns; compiling client accounting records; preparing financial reports; responding to government inquiries; supporting tax and assurance teams as needed; and general administrative duties.
The ideal candidates will have strong computer skills with experience using software such as Caseware, Caseview, Simply Accounting and/or TaxPrep. In addition, candidates would possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, have an eye for detail and excel in a fast paced, customer service oriented environment.
